The human body is an instrument which allows that which you are (the power of life) to be animated and expressed.
What causes limitation to that?
The easy answer = Stress. In all forms, stress can lead to tension which over time can lead to pain.
But let's not give stress a bad name yet, Stress is ultimately good (in all forms) if it can be processed, integrated and oriented toward benefiting your life experience. The challenge of stress creates growth and expansion which is what we truly crave. This can be achieved through correct perception and being in a state of awareness.
When stress is severe, occurs with sudden unexpected onslaught, or accumulated over time without time to process, integrate and allow the potential benefit to be perceived, then Stress becomes stored in our structure, as tension.
When tension accumulates our life experience becomes more dense. Not only in our physical structure becoming less flexible, less mobile, increased pain, etc... but also emotionally we begin to perceive life experience through the lens of fear, anxiety, hesitancy, indecision which all can lead to depression and ultimately apathy. We become immobilized. It becomes then a vicious circle. We feel safety and security of future potential harm is of utmost priority. We train our brain to validate our emotions and we lose trust not only in others, but in ourselves as well.
We become paralyzed in a perfectly capable instrument! It's sad, isn't it!? Our instrument doesn't play well anymore, and if it does, it doesn't sound or look too good.
Nutritionally we gravitate towards cheap, fast methods of gaining energy externally, so we crave poor sources of fat and sugar. Another vicious circle is created.
The good news though, is that this downward spiral of immobility, pain, fear, anxiety, dependency upon fat, sugar and harmful substances can all can be slowed, stopped and reversed regardless of age.
And just as a harsh stressor can harmfully instigate the downward spiral, there is no harsh "quick fix," or benefit to doing too much correction too fast. That can be stressful in and of itself!
The correct path is achieved through the accumulation of small changes made consistently over time. Small positive change is the key. As momentum builds more ease is introduced melting the tension being held in your structure.
How? Well, unlike a machine, which western medicine unfortunately perceives the human body to be, where parts can be removed and replaced and you're sent back on your way to living in fear and stress (don't get me wrong, medicine is amazing in emergency situations and can be life saving)... there is another way.
You aren't a machine. You are life force or energy or a soul (however you choose to perceive it) that animates physical matter (your instrument) [I'm sure you've heard the phrase: "The body is the temple of the soul"].
Your body is made up of TRILLIONS of cells that die, are being replaced and made anew everyday. THAT MEANS with better environmental input, you can change. The new cells can learn new information. You can become more flexible, more youthful, heal, feel and function better even as you age!
Perception opens up your visual field so while you still may perceive primarily through fear, the outer edges of fear become illuminated and other possibilities come into your realm. Trust is slowly reestablished in yourself and others.
Nutritionally as better choices are made your taste buds actually do change and you'll find yourself craving healthier sources of fuel.
You feel better in your own skin, living with less dependency upon outside sources and need for external validation and instead guided and directed more from within your own source. Your heart is activated and you become inspired again to pursue your dreams with childlike curiosity.
So, why am I a chiropractor which the general public believes is for back pain relief?
I'll tell you. I am a chiropractor because...
The sole purpose of chiropractic is to reunite the physical matter with the animating power of life within to optimize and elevate your life experience.
Chiropractic serves as the most powerful passive catalyst to help you restore, maintain, elevate and optimize the connection to your true Self... your source.
In a nutshell, I align your spine with your mind so everything in your life can become mightily fine. 😁
And when that happens consistently over time, tension dissipates, motion returns and pain fades away...ahhhh, but there are more "challenges" you innately crave, so here we are, ready to continue serving you for your best potential life possible!
